Face Cleansers

Asian Typical Method of Double-Cleansing

Is a method that uses two types of cleansers to clean the skin of all impurities and dirt that dates back to the fourteenth century. This particular skincare routine originated in Korea and Japan.

The first step of the Korean double-cleansing method involves using an oil-based cleanser on your face. These cleansers can be purchased in solid or liquid form.

When you have applied and rinsed off an oil-based cleanser, you can then move on to using a water-based cleanser, which is essential if you want to remove any remaining oil from your skin. These cleansers can be purchased in non-foaming and foaming options.

This cleansing method will prepare your skin for any other skincare products that you use, which should provide you with a more natural and healthy appearance.

Face Toners

Also called lotions, Asian Beauty toners are rich in ingredients that hydrate skin rather than rid it of moisture. You can find ingredients like kelp extract, mineral water, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, grapeseed oil, and carrot root oil.

Clean your face with a makeup remover and oil-based cleanser, and follow up with a water-based cleanser. After, lightly soak a cotton pad with toner and wipe your skin. If any bacteria or dirt lingers after this double cleanse, a toner will get rid of it.

Toners balance the skin’s pH and are formulated to support other skin products. For example toners facilitate active ingredient penetration from your other skin care products. Think of it as a booster for your vitamin C, retinol, or expensive anti-aging creams. After all, in order for a product to work its magic on your skin, it’s got to be absorbed.

Face Ampoules

Think about serums as being the step that gives your skin the nutrients you need. Because of their lightweight consistency, they are fit to better deliver higher concentrations of the things your skin needs deeper into your skin. Choosing the right serum depends on what your skin goals are. Popular active ingredients in serums are things like hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and vitamin C.

Serums typically are meant to exist after toner when your skin is prepped to absorb product but before your cream moisturizer. You can also use a serum under your face mask to help it absorb deeper into your skin.

Overall, serums are a lightweight moisturizer, however, unlike a cream moisturizer, they typically have a few active ingredients in higher concentration, meant to address a specific issue (wrinkles, dark spots, brightening etc.).

Face Emulsions

An emulsion offers you all the benefits of a facial moisturizer with some extra added advantages. It helps to seal hydration and avert loss of moisture from the surface of your skin. Being light-weight, an emulsion easily gets absorbed into your skin and works fast.

To derive utmost benefits from an emulsion, make sure you use it correctly and in the right order. It’s ideally used as the final step of your skin care routine to lock the goodness of the ingredients that you have used for your skin. You can use it after applying an active product to seal it inside. You can even use it under your sunscreen while stepping out during the day.

The ideal time to use an emulsion is between your serum and face cream. So when you apply it between using serum and face cream, it helps your other makeup products get absorbed even more easily. This way, your skin makes most of the benefits. It works as a great skin booster especially if you have oily or sensitive skin.

Face Masks

One of the key components of Asian skincare routines is the

the use of face masks.

One popular type of face mask in Korean skincare is the

sheet mask. Sheet masks are single-use masks that are typically made of a thin, cotton-like material soaked in a serum or essence. They come in various formulations  targeting different skin concerns, such as hydration, brightening, firming, and anti-aging.

The efficacy of these masks lies not only in their scientifically formulated serums but also in the method of delivery.  By cocooning the face in a protective veil, the mask creates an occlusive environment, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate deeply and more effectively.

Eye Cream

The skin around the eyes is thin and has little subcutaneous fat. These characteristics make the eye area particularly prone to wrinkles, fine lines and dark circles.

As a person ages, the skin under and around their eyes loses elasticity, resulting in sagging.

Asian beauty brands are constantly pioneering new ingredients and technologies, for example Korean eye creams are famous worldwide for their ability to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and lighten dark circles while being gentle on the skin.

Eye Patches

Under-eye masks are like mini sheet masks for the delicate eye area. Most eye patches curve to fit the contours of the face and are made up of hydrogel material, which helps maximize nutrient absorption and provide fast-acting results.

All patches are formulated with different ingredients and have different benefits  There is data to show under eye patches for dark circles can help brighten and illuminate the eye area. The Eye Patches are formulated with vitamin E and B5 to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other anti-aging concerns.

Sun SPF creams

Asian sunscreens are beloved for their comfortable-to-wear formulas and the benefits that they provide to the skin (in addition to the sun defense of it all).

They don’t feel heavy—also part of that chemical filter innovation. Furthermore, instead of a one-size-fits-all all recipe for every customer, for example many Korean sunscreens offer targeted formulas that also promise benefits such as mattifying oily skin, blurring the appearance of pores, or even offering deep hydration.
